Calendar

Please update your calendar in a timely manner to avoid re-scheduling with patients. Don't forget to block off sleeping times at night too.

Once you add an event to your Google calendar, it should be updated on Foodoc within seconds. You could visit your Foodoc profile to double check that the calendar is updated properly.

Add your Foodoc profile to your own website and Dietitians of Canada profile

This would allow the client to go to your Foodoc profile directly.

If you have a Find-a-Dietitian profile, please add the following codes to the end of your bio once you have plugged in the link to your full profile and your name.

<a href="LINK_TO_YOUR_PROFILE_PAGE"> Click to book an online consultation with YOUR_NAME </a>

For example, for Sophia Zheng, the code would be:

<a href="http://www.foodoc.ca/rd/on14385">Click to book an online consultation with Sophia Zheng </a>

If you have Dietitians of Canada membership, but are not sure how to set up the Find-a-Dietitian profile, please follow the instructions below:

  • Login in to your account from the top right
  • Go to Member -> My Profile from the top
  • Click on Your profile for Find-a-Dietitian in light blue

Facebook group

Please join the facebook group "Foodoc dietitian community", a closed group for Foodoc dietitians where we support each other in private practice and share our success stories. Don't be shy to ask any questions or share what you've learnt.

Pre-consultation intake form

To open the intake form from a client: - Click on the link in your email - Click "Browse Private Key" and select your private key - Enter the password you set up - Click Decrypt!. It may take a few seconds to show the content.

Book a follow up for the client

It is strongly recommended that you ask the client if they would like you to book a follow up for them. It has significantly improved the rate of the follow up visits.

Please make sure that you have obtained consent from the client before booking for them. They will be charged only after the consultation, but please confirm with the client that the payment information has not changed.

To book a follow up, click on the "Book follow up link" in the email related to that appointment, and select language, service and notification method for your client, and enter their email address so that they would be receiving the meeting information directly. You may also enter client's name, email and phone number in the "Secure intake form" section for your own registration purposes.

Cancellation/Rescheduling policy

Clients would not be charged as long as they notify Foodoc and the dietitian at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment starting time. If they only let us know within 24 hours, 30% would be deducted. If it is a no-show, 100% of the fee would be deducted.

If you would like to ask for an exception of this policy on behalf of a client, please send the Appointment ID of that appointment (found on your calendar as well as email) and a brief explanation of the situation to admin@foodoc.ca

First 15min free policy

Any client has the right to terminate the meeting with a dietitian within 15 minutes from the start time of the initial consultation, and be provided a full refund.

The client does not need to provide any explanation to receive the refund. However, the dietitian is welcome to ask for any feedback from the client.

The intention of this policy is to offer a similar service as a free 15 minutes consultation, but make it more efficient.

Coupons

Foodoc could generate coupon codes for dietitians. It is a great incentive to get people started on working with you. Please send us the following information if you wish to get a code:

  • What is the discount, e.g. $20 off
  • Applied to which of your service(s), e.g. initial
  • If you are making it a limited time offer, what is the start and end date
  • What code you would prefer

For large discounts like a free meeting, we recommend you to make a code that could not be easily guessed or have similar pattern as your other codes One dietitian could have multiple coupon codes

Packaged services

The first meeting will be booked the usual way, and the client will pay for the package when they book that first meeting within the package.

Starting from the second meeting, you would need a coupon code that makes the service free of charge. It is strongly recommended that you use a code that could not be guessed (similar to a password), and book for the client instead of giving the code to the client to prevent it from going public.

To obtain a code, please follow the steps in the section titled Coupons. To apply the code, simply enter the code in the box that says Promotion Code and click Apply. You should see the price dropping to zero dollars. If that is not the case, please contact admin@foodoc.ca.

Receipt

The dietitian is responsible for providing a receipt after each consultation. Please send it directly to the client.

Payment

Income payment will be provided once a month at the beginning of every month in the form of e-transfer
